🌹 Garden Rose ‘American Pillar’ – Classic Rambler Rose with Historic Charm

The rambler rose ‘American Pillar’, bred by Dr. Walter Van Fleet (United States, 1902), is one of the most iconic and admired climbing roses. First introduced in 1908, this historic rose is celebrated for its spectacular early summer flowering, when it produces an abundance of blooms in a breathtaking display.

The flowers are bright rose-pink with a white center and golden stamens, single to semi-double, averaging about 2" (5 cm) across. They appear in large, showy clusters, creating a striking effect even from a distance. While the fragrance is none to mild, the sheer abundance of blooms makes this rose unforgettable.

Reaching heights of up to 23 ft (7 m) and spreading about 10 ft (3 m) wide, ‘American Pillar’ is perfect for covering arches, pergolas, fences, and large walls. Its glossy, dark green, leathery foliage provides a beautiful backdrop and remains healthy throughout the season.
